Ever been immersed in a book or workflow on your iPad—only to get interrupted by an unexpected iPhone call or FaceTime alert? It’s meant to be convenient... but distractions happen. The good news? You can easily turn it off.
💡 Why This Matters
By default, your iPad mirrors your iPhone’s incoming calls and FaceTime reminders. While helpful for multitasking, it can interrupt focus, especially when you're using your iPad independently.
How to Fix It
On your iPhone:
- Open Settings > tap your Apple ID at the top > iCloud
- Scroll down and toggle off "Phone & FaceTime" - This stops calls and FaceTime alerts from appearing on your iPad.
- Note: It affects both services together — there's no split option yet.

You can also disable Messages via iCloud in the same iCloud menu to stop text notifications from syncing to your iPad.
